ILENE CHAIKEN... WHO DIDN'T LET THE GIRLS GET A WORD IN AFTER WINNING A RECOGNITION AWARD FOR HER CREATION THAT THEY WORKED SO HARD IN PORTRAYING. I THOUGHT THAT SHE WAS OUT OF LINE A FEW TIMES WHEN SHE WAS SPEAKING, TALKING ABOUT HOW SHE WANTED HER CHARACTERS TO BE A LITTLE MORE PRETTIER, SKINNIER, MORE FASHIONABLE BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE WATCH. OH ILENE, I STILL LOVE YOU JUST FOR CASTING JENNIFER BEALS AS YOUR MAIN CHARACTER... NO, BUT HONESTLY THERE WAS MORE SPOKEN THAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN! BUT, SHE STILL LOOKED LOVELY AND I'M SURE SHE WAS A TID-BIT NERVOUS!


LEAVE IT UP TO THE TALL ONE TO CRADLE THE AWARD!! SMOKING, SMOKIN, SMOKIN! ALL FOUR OF THEM (KATE MOENNIG, LEISHA HAILEY, JENNIFER BEALS, ILENE CHAIKEN) LOOK ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS SPORTING THEIR WHITE KNOTS FOR MARRIAGE EQUALITY; BEAUTIFUL!

Olbermann Nominated for GLAAD Award Prop. 8 Comment!

Another GLAAD nomination goes to MSNBC's Keith Olbermann for his eminent segment on Proposition 8, in the category for outstanding T.V Journalism. Now personally, I've never really sat down and watched Olbermann, mainly because I'm too busy gallivanting around in cyber-space, or watching my girl Rachel Maddow on CNN, but this piece is sincerely amazing! I actually felt a bit of a tear drop when I was listening to Olbermann open his heart and stand by his personal views for the whole world to devour. And you know his words were indeed devoured somewhere amongst the political-smug that goes down on a daily basis. What struck me as fascinating was Olbermann's body language and vocals. The amount of energy he had: anger just ripped through his pores; heartfelt and sincere. It took a courageous person to nail this "special comment", and for being a heterosexual it was empowering. I hope that he bustles this GLAAD award from the palms of the announcers hands for such a passionate piece that did indeed catch him this outstanding nomination. Good Luck Keith!

Cleaning "Out" My "Closet"

I was clearing away clutter from 2007 and ran across something that said "Suze Orman is a flaming homosexual!" You know... the financial Guru... with the irritating voice?

HOT DAMN!

55 year old Gold Medal Lezbo (bring down the house, now raise the roof) my friends!

It seems that she has been with her partner Kathy Travis for 7 brilliant years.

You Rock Suze!

AfterEllen.com told me that Suze mentions the fact that both she and her partner have millions of dollars in each of their names, and if something were to happen to either of them the other would lose 50 percent of what the other person has in estate taxes. All that money will be because gay marriage is frowned upon, and same sex couples can't legally hold that financial bond that heterosexual couples have to freely embrace.

Suze is hoping that by coming out, she will show the world that there are indeed serious financial issues surrounding same sex marriages.

I guess I can't always keep up with everything...

But, what I do know for 2009 is that Suze will receive the Vito Russo award for her work as a financial freak in April at the annual GLAAD awards!

Yea... it pays off being a Power Dike!! Well done Suze. Bravo!
