Renée Vivien was born Mary Tarn in London,1877. She was the product of a wealthy British father and an American mother from Jackson, Michigan. At 21, Vivien inherited her fathers fortune and permanently resided in France.

Vivien lived the "high life", as we would call it these days, as an out lesbian--rich and in love to an openly gay American heiress and writer Natalie Clifford Barney. She then had several relationships along the way, one of which was her close friend from back home, Violet Shilli. This relationship eventually led to the break-up of Vivien and Barney. Many more women from other countries swooned over Vivien, including Istanbul's Kérimé Turkhan Pasha, the Turkish diplomat's wife.

Viviens was a British poet who wrote in the French language. Her compositions include sonnets, hendecasyllabic verse and prose poetry.

She later died at 35 in 1909, due to alcoholism and anorexia. Just another torn writer who had withheld an unnecessary amount of money, as well as unpromising love affairs that ripped her heart in two.

Here is a taste of some of her parts!

The Touch

The trees have kept some lingering sun in their branches,
Veiled like a woman, evoking another time,
The twilight passes, weeping. My fingers climb,
Trembling, provocative, the line of your haunches.

My ingenious fingers wait when they have found
The petal flesh beneath the robe they part.
How curious, complex, the touch, this subtle art--
As the dream of fragrance, the miracle of sound.

I follow slowly the graceful contours of your hips,
The curves of your shoulders, your neck, your upappeased breasts.
In your white voluptuousness my desire rests,
Swooning, refusing itself the kisses of your lips.

The lovely Julie Becker has been a tattoo artist for 13 years and works in a private studio in Silverlake (L.A), California!

Her ink gracefully clothes her body in a way satin sheets clothe a stimulating mattress.

A body of art, soul, and originality is that of Becker; desirable!

This is just a glimpse at what started off and ended in an emotional, and unjustified uphold on Proposition 8 in San Fransisco yesterday.

How this might be fair, or justified we will never know. But what I am trying to understand is that a place as large , forward and diverse as California is, I would think that they would be the first state to ensure that equal rights for same-sex couples would be nothing less than satisfactory along with the state of New York! But, obviously they cannot make up their minds, yet back country states such as Iowa came to realize that marriage is nothing but love! And I applaud them for their unselfishness!

Last year 18,000 same-sex couples were married legally in the state of California. After the 2008 election, proposition 8 came into effect banning same-sex marriages, they then re-entered for another round in the fight to bring back that freedom of "LOVE" again on 5.26.09, and upheld it. For what reason, god only knows, but California right there just made a third sect of citizens within that supreme court ruling and this is how it is broken down: Those 18,000 men and woman will be able to legally stay married. The millions of non-married homosexuals will not be allowed to legally be married in the state of California. And as always, straight couples rule the common world just as men rule the business world (not for long suckers)! Does any of this make sense? How is it possible to grant a right, pass it through the courts, allow 18,00 couples to wed and then banish the rest of the citizens like orphans with the click of a pen. Homosexuals are not slaves, we are not dirty and germy, we have come a long way from segregation for crying out loud look at our president! So why all the bullshit? To make a name for yourselves, to read about your worthlessness in denying people a family filled with love in the newspaper the next day, what is it?

Injustice is what this is. I don't know how that 6-1 sleeps at night knowing that they deliberately denied somebody love, peace, family and happiness. We will prevail, there is no doubt about that! We will fight and we will WIN, and when we do WIN for all same-sex couples to be married you bet your sorry-straight-close-minded-asses that we will shove it in your faces by just being one of the most happiest non-harmful group of people you will ever know!

For all of you Donkeys out there,"hee-haw", you are probably wondering the same thing I am...why hasn't Barack Obama spoke up or stepped up to the plate for the LGBT community yet?

He glowed tremendously in his campaign, stating that he is an advocate for gays and lesbians and for equal rights. He bragged, "If you help me, I will help you!" He spoke the words of a new type of freedom, a freedom that would surpass the denied rights of love and happiness for the LGBT community. So, what is the matter? Why haven't we seen Mr. Obama (our first black president who has the same and possibly better abilities as the former white presidents) out there standing up and speaking for us and our families?

Yes, we understand that he cannot pass a country wide law that equal rights are of an essence...that would be wonderful! But, he can try and help push each state just a bit more by making himself available for equality rallies and pride events to ensure and hopefully persuade state leaders that THE TIME IS NOW for equality. THE TIME IS NOW for same-sex marriage. THE TIME IS NOW to be able to love freely and to have that love recognized so that we too (the LGBT community) can feel a part of this "whole" that we are living in.

So, Mr. President, I say to you...Your time was then. You won because we fought for you! Our time is NOW, so please fight and help us win just as you have! Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, and Transgenders want more than ever to re-write history just as you have, Mr. Obama!

Last weekend Ellen DeGeneres gave her commencement speech at Tulane University in New Orleans. While her jokes stayed above sea level so did the giggles and laughter the crowd graciously returned. One man in particular who laughed his ass off the entire speech was the president of the University. What a funny old man, must be a huge fan of Ellens!

Her speech was nothing short of terrific stand-up, with an entertainingly tragic affair that managed to help her publicly out herself and live life with integrity.

Take a few moments to watch Ellen bletch the words boobs, Mardi Gras, God, and "just dance, gonna be ok" within one speech... it is the most entertaining and meaningful speech I think she has ever given!!

Hey Ellen, if you manage to read this, Summer 2010 Wayne State University Detroit, Michigan you should probably come give another speech!! I'm inviting you, screw the president of the University!! Tee-hee!!

One of Tee Corinnes most popular pieces of work was that of the Cunt Coloring Book! All the drawings were done by Corinne which portray personality and an obscured vision on the beauty of a woman!

Before Corinne became a famous activ-art(activist through art), she spent 7 years as a married heterosexual until the '60s when she broke out and delivered the world an amazing feminist artist who had skills-to-kill! She was co-facilitator of the Feminist Photography Ovulars, and co-founder of The Blatant Image, A Magazine of Feminist Photography around 1983. Corinne was the author of one novel, three collections of short stories, two photo books, as well as four books of poetry and numerous artists books with small edition publications.

Corinne wrote about art for a variety of publications and, from 1987, was the art books columnist for
Feminist Bookstore News. A co-founder and past co-chair of the Gay & Lesbian Caucus (an affiliated society of the College Art Association), she also co-founded the Women's Caucus for Art Lesbian & Bisexual Caucus. In 1991, she was chosen by Lambda Book Report as one of the fifty most influential lesbians and gay men of the decade, and in 1997 she received the Women's Caucus for Art President's Award for service to women in the arts.

Corinne passed away at the age of 62 at her house in Oregon where she had been battling cancer. Her partner Beverly of 16 years then passed on as well.
Corinne was at most an awesome educational and intelligent lesbian (as the majority of us are)!! I highly recommend checking out Tee Corinnes publications, as well as her photos, and don't forget the Cunt Coloring Book! It's just one of those things that you must have on your bookshelf if you are a true lesbian, just like the Vagina Monologues or the Lesbian Kama Sutra! Lesbians just own shit like that, that's why we are the true humdingers in this world!!

I leave you with a train of Tee Corinne...

Cynthia Nixon, a woman of power, sex appeal and words! I'm taken back every time I listen to this woman speak. Its as if she is picking the shit out of my brain and belching it about for me!

On May 17th in the streets of New York City, thousands of people gathered for the Broadway Impacts Equality Rally. Nixon not only announced her engagement to lawful partner Christine Marinoni, but she managed to hit every aspect of marriage equality, freedom, civil rights, financial issues and the unlikeliness of any LGBT couple leaving their own state to seek marriage!

She then went on to chew at the opposing crowd on why we (LGBT family) are just as much human beings as they are:

Now the main argument I hear against legalizing same-sex marriage is that in some way this will forever alter and mar traditional marriage, and what I want to know is: How? How will my girlfriend and I getting married have any affect on you and your wife, or you and your husband sitting at home? I also hear that the right to legal same-sex marriage is seen as an attack on traditional marriage, and I want to say that you are not the ones being attacked, we are.

And please believe I'm not being flippant when I say this: The right to marry is about us, it is not about you, any more than the fight for integration was about white people, or a women's right to vote was about men. It is only about you to the extent that you have to live with yourself knowing that you are depriving a significant portion of the population their basic civil rights.

So "HELLO CITIZENS" time to wake up and grow up! Nixon is not only there defending herself but a family, a larger family than that of her fiance and kids, our LGBT family who sits everyday wondering if they too will ever be heard, looked at and accepted for love!

I have to emphasis the fact that WE ARE NOT INTERRUPTING YOUR FAULTLESS STRAIGHT LIVES! In a Liz Lemon tone "Blerg"!

Let's play, "Catch the Trend"...

Did you "Catch" it?! It's Oprah! Something tells me that she has paid to adopt herself straight into the Obama family! Tee-hee! Don't get me wrong I love Oprah, but seriously... she is like a vacuum attachment to these poor people who are just trying to run our country!

Well, my conclusion is that Oprah is in love! But I don't care if she adopted herself into the white house, I guess I might be a tad jealous!!

This is Nanna (not your grandma), one of Finland's Next Top Models! Nanna is from Espoo Finland, and is sensationally cute in every way! What makes her smile even brighter is that she is openly gay/bi, as many of our American Top Models have been, but Nanna has done something that no other Top Model model has done...

When asked to write on a white shirt of her choice something that describes you, and an emotion that you bring with it, Nanna chose a white hoodie with the word "HOMO" and the emotion "pride"! "Homo" in finish means "gay"! What a self gratifying individual! Just look at her, she stands glistening with an abundance of pride, so marvelous! Through this photo she shows who she really is, and what she honorably believes in.

What also makes Nanna so inspiring is her glowing features and the way she asserts herself. This photo was the judges favorite in one of the cycles, one look and they were literally hooked! Nanna has a way of portraying various windows that she represents. The classy sophisticated Nanna all the way through the modest everyday living Nanna.

I wish Nanna the best of luck, and I'm presuming that she will make it down to the final 2! The judges seem to like her, and she hits every photo shoot like it's her last!

Did I mention that she should probably market those hoodies?? I WANT ONE!!
